A.J. joined The Putney Financial Group LLC in 2017 as a Financial Advisor and Market Analyst. He has experience in both the investing and operating sides of the industry with a focus on portfolio construction, trading and research. Previously he worked as an associate and registered representative at Portsmouth Financial Services, where he learned the wealth management business from the ground up. His responsibilities included critical operating functions ranging from financial analysis to advising client portfolios to implementing new compliance and accounting solutions firm-wide. He has made an impact in every level of the business and is an invaluable resource for solving client problems no matter how small or large. He holds the Series 7 and Series 66 licenses and his California Insurance License is #0M74304.

A Bay Area native, A.J. grew up in Orinda and graduated with a BS in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, where he also played for the Cal varsity rugby team winning three national championships. When he is not at his desk or meeting with clients he can be found sailing on the Bay, skiing in Tahoe, and supporting all Bay Area sports teams.
